Exterior Cleaning For Pubs, Restaurants & Bars
Where Customers Make Their Minds Up
People decide whether to come in before they reach the door. Therefore, a greened-over beer garden, a grimy frontage or gum trodden into the entrance says something about a venue, and it says it before anyone has seen a menu.
At JCY, we look after the outside of pubs, restaurants and bars across Cardiff, and only the outside. If you already have someone handling the kitchen and the interior, we are the people who keep everything beyond the door to the same standard.
Our pub and restaurant cleaning covers:
- Beer gardens, terraces and outdoor seating areas
- Patios, decking and paved customer areas
- Frontages, entrances and shopfronts
- Smoking areas and external walkways
- Bin stores, yards and delivery areas
- Chewing gum, graffiti and ground-in spills

Beer Gardens & Outdoor Seating
Sorted Before The Sun Comes Out
A beer garden earns its money in a short window, so it needs to be right when the weather turns. Left through the winter, patios and decking go green and slippery, tables and benches grey off, and what should be your best asset in April looks like it has been shut for two years.
We bring the whole area back before the season starts, clearing moss and algae from the paving and decking, washing down furniture and planters, and dealing with the spills and food waste that has built up around outdoor tables.
Slippery decking is worth taking seriously too, since a customer slipping on a wet terrace is a claim you do not want. Our decking cleaning service will handle all of that, restoring it to a like-new appearance.
Most venues book us in spring and again as the season winds down, though we are happy to work to whatever suits your trade.

The Details Customers Notice
The frontage does the selling, so it’s crucial that it’s squeaky clean.
We clean entrances, signage surrounds, canopies, and paving, and remove the chewing gum that collects around any busy doorway, which is one of those things nobody consciously registers until it looks bad. Where a venue has picked up graffiti, we deal with that too, ideally quickly, since tags tend to attract more.
Round the back, bin stores and delivery yards pick up grease, food waste and the smell that comes with them, and a proper clean makes a real difference to both. We also handle the glass and windows while we are on site, so the whole venue gets sorted in one visit rather than three separate bookings.
Some of it comes down to pressure washing, plenty of it does not, and the commercial exterior cleaning we provide covers the outside of a venue either way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our Pub & Restaurant Cleaning FAQs
Yes, and most venues prefer it. We work early mornings, closed days and quiet periods, so the job is done and dusted before your first customer arrives.
Yes. Both are common around busy venues and can be removed with the right equipment. We can take care of them in the same visit as the rest of the exterior.
We do. If you run more than one venue, we can work across all of them on a schedule, with one point of contact rather than separate arrangements for each site.
We’ll work around whatever is there, but the results are better with the furniture moved clear, so we usually shift it as part of the job and put it back once the surface has dried.
